Wyndham Rio Mar Celebrates Award-Winning Month

RIO GRANDE, Puerto Rico (May 27, 2009) – For the second year in a row, Rio Mar Beach Golf Resort, Casino & Spa, A Wyndham Grand Resort, has received the Meeting & Conventions Gold Tee Award. The Meetings & Conventions 2009 Gold Tee Award is presented annually to golf and meeting hotels worldwide that are nominated and selected by meeting professionals. Decisions are based on overall excellence of the hotel or resort.

Rio Mar received M&C’s Gold Tee Award in 2008 and was also recognized last year with the AAA Four Diamond Award and the Puerto Rico Convention Bureau Award of Excellence. AAA describes a Four Diamond hotel as upscale in all areas with refined and stylish accommodations; physical attributes reflecting an enhanced level of quality throughout; and an extensive array of amenities combined with a high degree of hospitality, service and attention to detail.

The Puerto Rico Convention Bureau presented its Award of Excellence to the Wyndham Rio Mar for the second quarter of 2008 based on the results of an online survey that evaluated experiences of clients who held meetings and events in Puerto Rico.
